Really nice traditional american food. It has a little simple ambience but rustic feeling that comes with the place makes up for it.

No pictures we were hungry. Our brunch was eggs and hashbrowns, a pancake extra @$6.00 one of the best chicken fried steaks @ $15.00. Hubby and I shared the meal. In the future we'll have to budget our next brunch here and go back in about 3 months. Pricy

So so good. Tiny little place, easy to miss even driving by but what a gem! Fresh fresh oysters, homemade tartar sauce, and homemade pies. Solid coffee, and the staff was friendly and sweet. Definitely recommend seeking this place out. Seems to be a local favorite.

Best cinnamon roll we've ever had. we had the oysters and eggs, and the farmers omelet. seriously the best breakfast diner we've been to in years.

Staffs here were awesome. I had the Denver omelette the first time i came here. It was great! I had the pancakes the second time arriving here, and they were dangerously AWESOME!

Eggs Benedict was decent. The eggs weren’t runny, but the sauce, and ham were great! The hash browns a little bland and dry seemed to be re hydrated. But over decent. Warning this is CASH ONLY!

Always wonderful. The best breakfast in Tillamook County. The best chicken fried steak in 80 miles. Hand made cubed steak coated with panko. Not out of a box. Downies is family owned third generation. Amazing lunches as well. Homemade pie and cinnamon rolls. Downies is an institution. So many great memories made here over excellent food and service.

Cash only. Open from 6am to 2:30pm daily. Service was fast and pleasant. Food was delicious and more than a one person serving!

Downie's cafe is great. I've known the family all my life. Great food and people.

Great food, delightful servers (Shelly and Raegan are quite nice), and great food. The Chicken Fried Steak is great and the made-on-site Cinnamon Rolls are delish. They are cash only. There is usually only one server so don't be in a rush.

I almost don't want to share this little hidden cafe in Bay City. But someone shared it with me. Friendly staff with homemade pies! Great, and huge, pancakes. Cash only.

It was delicious! Meat lover omelet was perfect, my wife said the eggs Benedict was the best she's ever had. Milk shakes were on point! We will be back again!

Quaint little diner on the coast with AWESOME food and service. Took a while for the food to be prepared but that just means it great and NOT frozen fast food!!!! Will definitely be back!!!

Discovered this place a few years ago. Locals know it well. They do no advertising. And cash only. Homemade everything including pies. Come to eat big portions .

This is absolutely the best place to have Breakfast or Lunch in Bay City. Great people, excellent service and food that is always great.

This lady who runs this place is really rude. Brought locals there drinks before us. The cinnamon role was obviously frozen then microwaved and basically tasted stale. My wife asked for cream and didn't get any, we had to wait until her coffee was cold before she came back to the table to take our plates.. She never came to ask us how our food was. I ordered the full order of busicuits and gravy and got a tiny plate. I asked her... This is 9 bucks? She was very rude and said, don't know what to tell you.. Also never brought tobacco sauce. Maybe if your a local you Will be treated better. If your visiting, I would stay far far away..

I'm almost afraid to spill the beans on how incredible these cinnamon rolls are. Fair warning, if you call it 10:30 on a Sunday they may already be out!

Stopped to pick up a lemon meringue pie (called days ahead to order one for my birthday), and I tried sausage gravy on biscuits for the first time. Everything was soooooo good!!!
